Control is at best an illusion
Ensnaring our missed placed faith
The plans we take pride, in the castles we hide in
Are all going to burn some day
But by all means indulge and its comfort
You just may hit a lucky streak
And try to ignore all the worms in the floorboards
Eroding beneath your feet
Some wander, some doubt
Some claim to have the universal figured out
But we all suffer we all hurt
And everything we've tried so far's just made things worse
Can we just love and understand
That we all walk the same endless sands of the desert?
The stalwart the beggar the thief
The banker The Gambler the king
Here they stand side-by-side death arrives to remind us that
None of it means a thing.

In the horizon mirages arise from the
