A live look at some of the CSS tricks that power the State of JS's charts ➡️ https://2024.stateofjs.com/en-US

The State of JS is a yearly developer survey that publishes rich, interactive reports. Survey maintainer Sacha Greif will share why and how they recently switched from using a third-party React library that generates SVG charts to a home-grown solution that relies primarily on good old HTML/CSS.

Contents:
Using position: absolute for maximum flexibility
Building responsive charts using subgrid
Combining SVG and HTML

A huge thank you to Sacha for running this, please make sure to check out the results here ➡️ https://2024.stateofjs.com/en-US
