Trawler Training in the San Juan Islands
In 2001 I took a “Trawler Training” course, departing from Seattle and cruising through the scenic San Juan Islands on a 95 foot Yacht. Back then the ship was named “Caledonia”. I am happy to learn that it is still offering outstanding cruises in that area, including Alaska, under its new name “Glacier Bear”. This lengthy video provides an overview of both the area and some of the challenges of piloting a vessel of that size.
