A very rough explanation of functions! [Understanding IT]
I don't want to go into the tiniest details about functions, but I've vaguely heard of them and I'm curious to know more! So, I'll explain them for you.

1. About Variable Scope
Variable scope varies slightly depending on the language, so please use this as a reference for the idea that variables can be treated as separate entities inside and outside of a function!
(Sorry, my explanation is terrible.)
2. About Use Cases
I forgot to mention the most important point about when to use them, so I'll explain it a bit.
Roughly speaking, it's one of the following:
When you want to reuse multiple processes
When you want to give the process an easy-to-understand name
When you're creating a world and don't want it to affect other people's code (important)
