So there's still some traffic on my WU-a1 video and every so often a question so it seemed reasonable to make an update with some new information. I still think this thing is a poor value deal. It should be like 20 dollars. And I think Nikon should 100% update the app if they keep selling these.
The more modern app sadly does not even support this unit. So let me show you a work around :)
