4. Amazon Echo Dot (3rd generation) 5 stars.
Reasons to Buy.
Clear, strong sound.
Budget price.
Enhances Alexa abilities.
Reasons to Prevent.
Alexa intelligence is restricted.
Possibly the most intelligent method to bring Amazon's Alexa voice assistant into your house, the most recent generation of the Dot likewise functions as an easy (and inexpensive) cordless speaker. The fabric-covered, puck-shaped gadget looks smarter then previous versions and it's simple to get up and running, either over wi-fi or Bluetooth. And as a device for playing background music, there really is little to fault, particularly at this cost.

5. Sonos One 5 stars.
Factors to Purchase.
Elegant and inconspicuous.
Strong, advanced noise.
Alexa well integrated.
Reasons to Prevent.
Lacks complete Alexa control.
No hi-res audio.
Verdict.
After straightening out some of the initial software bugs, and including features such as Alexa control of Spotify and AirPlay 2, the Sonos One cements its location as one of the best smart speakers on the marketplace.
If you don't value the voice assistant you might enjoy with an initial Play:1 (which is still available and now more affordable) and there's now likewise the One SL and Beam speaker to consider, but for compact benefit and quality, the Sonos One still comes extremely suggested.

Factors to Buy.
Big noise, effective bass.
Good level of information.

Verdict.
Following the announcement back in December 2017, we were captivated to see how the entire LG/Meridian partnership would progress.
