This was originally part of a much larger idea that I ended up being too lazy to bring to fruition.
Before I graduated asked all of my friends for their favorite film. This sparked much debate over if the TLJ is good or not (I was its only defender) but these were their answers:
JH: Jojo Rabbit or Brick
PG: Alien
DC: Inception or The Book Thief
MA: The Farewell or 42
JA: Midnight in Paris
LB: Napolean Dynamite (which was unusable for what I wanted so he said Knives Out was also good)
OS: 13 Hours or The Usual Suspects
BS: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty or Brick
IB: A New Hope or Revenge of the Sith
AG: The Princess Bride
AW: The Greatest Showman
ED: 12 Strong
HW: Judas and the Black Messiah
RS: The Shawshank Redemption or Avatar
NC: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Myself: The Tree of Life (not really, but it helped fill in thematic gaps in the edit)
I searched for a way to bring these films together in a meaningful way, and eventually, I watched C'mon C'mon and decided the Starchild scene would be what held them together.
So, to those people, I hope this is meaningful to you in some way. If it's kinda dumb and sappy, I kind of agree so tell me but I'm also proud of what I made. The reason I choose this group of people is that these are people whose impacts on my life I would consider invaluable. Thanks for being with me through high school. I'll see you around (or I won't but that would be sad).
Also, here's the same video but in BW. Thought it might give it a more coherent look, but didn't go with it in the end.
