Threadripper™ 3970X Custom PC Build.
This video shows the latest powerful computer we assembled, based on the 3rd generation processor AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-Core (64 threads) and Gigabyte’s TRX40 DESIGNARE motherboard. AMD Ryzen 3970X processor is cooled with BE QUIET’s Dark Rock Pro TR4+ heatsink which was adapted to the CPU using the ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Compound. The PC is also equipped with 64GB DDR4 RAM, one SSD NVMe M.2 PCIe 2TB and the MSI GeForce GTX 1650 GAMING X 4G graphics card. The PC is powered by a Corsair HX Series HX1200 1200W power supply and was assembled in COUGAR’s PANZER MAX case.
Useful information for PC Builders: The only problem we faced during the configuration was that Gigabyte’s TRX40 DESIGNARE motherboard was larger than usual, therefore the m/b didn’t fιt at all at the base of COUGAR’s PANZER MAX case. To bypass that problem, we had to bend and flatten the bottom side driver of the case, that usually helps place default sized motherboards inside the case, in order for TRX40 DESIGNARE motherboard to sit properly and allow us to safely lock it in place with screws.
