USDA Deputy Secretary Torres Small At
On January 17, 2024, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Agriculture
Xochitl Torres Small visited the College of Agriculture and
Environmental Sciences to tour the University Farm and speak
with the college’s USDA 1890 Scholars. During her visit, Torres Small announced that USDA NIFA’s
Agriculture and Food Research Initiative has awarded N.C. A&T
with nearly $1 million in investment towards addressing
enviromental justice within underserved communities.
