How to Fix the #1 Power Carving Mistake!
• The BIGGEST mistake you can make while powercarving is carving TOO DEEP. I use to think I was stuck at the level of depth I carved at… but thats not true. There is something simple you can do to fix it.
• While this may seem like common knowledge, many do not practice it. The answer is: Sanding. Yes, starting with an 80 grit piece of sandpaper folded up will work wonders!
• In this video I am going to remove about 1/16” of an inch. This will roughly take me around 3 minutes or less on this hard hickory.
• Always be sure to follow up with a 120 & 220 grit to get the scratch marks out of the wood.
