Building Awesome Dashboards with List and Column Formatting
Out-of-the-box SharePoint list views are a boring to look at. In order to engage users, we need to add some pizzazz! This is now possible to do without having to do use custom javascript or 3rd party tools. Accessible directly in the SharePoint user interface, we can now add snippets of formatting code to tell SharePoint how to dress up content to make it look nice. We'll look at several examples of formatting code which transform the plain list values into formatted content that is color coded, uses icons, draws pie charts and even shows dynamic map content. We'll discuss practical techniques on how to get comfortable using the JSON formatting to deliver exactly the look you want. Code examples will be provided along with the presentation which you use for practice and to build your own solutions.
