Shared channels in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams channels are where Team members work, post conversations, share files, tab content, and more. Channels organize work and bring content, communication, and collaboration to a central location. Standard, Private, and the new Shared channels are core to the Teams team experience.
Standard channels are the default for conversation and content management within a Team and open to all members of the Team.
Private channels allow a subset of users from the larger Team to privately and securely collaborate within the Team.
And the new Shared channels are designed to allow members of the Team share and collaboration with other federated organizations.
With Shared Channels you can now connect with people outside your organization to securely share content while minimize tenant switching. You can collaborate across Teams within your organization, and even collaborate with a Team from another organization!
In this session, we'll discuss all the things you need to know in order to manage and use Shared Channels in Teams.
