We turned our Basement into an IGLOO Cooler! 🔥
We knew we needed to insulate the basement since it will be our main living space with kitchen and living room. After some research we came across a product from InSoFast that would do just that. Not only is it R-15.9 continuous insulation but the studs are built into it, as well as electrical raceways, and the panels simply get glued to the walls! We also decided to insulate the slab with the 2" thick R-8.5 panels which allowed us to get a thermal break between the plywood subfloor and keep the floor warmer in the winter.
