What??? It's not a vgm tune or a song related memes?? Blasphemy! Where is mklachu and what have you done with her? Hehe, anyhow ~ Over the Rainbow and The Wizard of Oz in general has always had a special place in my heart. I remember when my dad sat me down to watch The Wizard of Oz on TV, and I didn't really understand how it was special seeing it all in sepia until THE COLORFUL REVEAL and it just gave me chills. One of the most vivid memories I have of my childhood.
As for Over the Rainbow, I've always wanted to cover this on the Deluxe, for it was one of the first few tunes I taught myself to play on here (other than Zelda's Lullaby and Tetris, hehe). So here it is, finally. I wanted to give it an old-timey vibe, so I hope that feeling was present throughout this video!
Also, I haven't recorded a video of just the melody with the perfect "first take" in ages. So I felt really good about recording this on a whim and nailing it the first time, wowie!
