The Jupiter & Saturn Great Conjunction is Monday!
🪐RARE EVENT: The last time a similar observable conjunction occurred was on March 4, 1226. In 1226, Tristan & Isolde was written and Louis IX became the King of France at only 12 yrs old.
🪐HOW TO OBSERVE: Look in the western sky shortly after sunset and you will see what appears to be one bright star ("The Christmas Star"). Use a telescope to view the "star" and you will see that it's actually Jupiter, Saturn, & their moons. See the comments for the cloud forecast.
🌞The winter solstice also occurs on Monday. The winter solstice marks the beginning of winter and the shortest day of the year.
