How to install and configure jenkins in aws step by step:
First launch ec2 in aws
connect this ec2
sudo su - ( switch user in root)
yum update –y
#wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/jenkins.repo \
https://pkg.jenkins.io/redhat-stable/...
rpm --import https://pkg.jenkins.io/redhat-stable/...
yum upgrade
yum install java-17-amazon-corretto -y
yum install jenkins -y
systemctl enable jenkins
systemctl start jenkins
systemctl status jenkins
Connect to http://your_server_IP:8080 from your browser. You will be able to access Jenkins through its management interface:
As prompted, enter the password found in
cat /var/lib/jenkins/secrets/initialAdminPassword
The Jenkins installation script directs you to the Customize Jenkins page. Click Install suggested plugins.
Once the installation is complete, the Create First Admin User will open. Enter your information, and then select Save and Continue.
