I know this video is extremely melodramatic, but at the end of the day, I still love Tumblr. I just don't like the clowns who are driving the car. Tumblr has always been a safe haven for people like me - chronically online auDHD artists who write entire dissertations about their favorite (and least favorite) things - but this new 'update' not only threatens users on an individual level and their ability to engage with others, but the ecosystem and spirit of Tumblr as a whole. Through every acquisition and change of hands over the years, Tumblr has still always remained what it is - a space for creatives, writers, artists, passionate thinkers, for the people who were always told they were "too much".
I love Tumblr. I love what it has provided for me over the past few years within my respective fandom communities. I love what it's given me in my friendships, my artistic journey, my community. I love my stupid Stardew Valley Alien Baby. All of that is worth fighting for.
