Weight of soundproofing

We are currently installing 100 sheets of the 3mm Skinz soundproofing layer to a BMW 440i, which adds approximately 45 kg in total. To put this into perspective, this additional weight is less than half that of an average adult male.
In practical terms, having a passenger in your vehicle doesn’t significantly affect performance, and this soundproofing weight is even less. Furthermore, while a passenger creates an imbalanced weight distribution, the soundproofing is evenly distributed throughout the car, potentially improving handling by achieving a more balanced weight distribution.
