Future Forum 2021 – Summary
The digital transformation is profoundly changing the way we learn, work, and communicate and thus impacts the nature of social relationships and political decision-making within and across societies. The global pandemic has accelerated many of these trends. This opens enormous opportunities for the promotion of governance and peacebuilding, but also bears considerable challenges and risks. The GIZ Future Forum 2021 explored these dynamics along four thematic focus areas – have a look at the inspiring summary video.
The Future Forum “States, Societies and People in the Digital Age – Shaping a Global Transformation” took place from September 20 - 23, 2021. This digital event launched by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) addressed the transformative impact of the digital transformation in the context of governance and peacebuilding. The virtual event brought together experts from all over the world working at and with GIZ as well as interested partners, commissioning parties, related consultancies and organizations.
