Following the new Forestry Commission Zog trail, based on the Julia Donaldson book, at 24 sites around England - we visited Wendover Woods Zog trail, in woodland on the edge of the Chilterns in Buckinghamshire on the first weekend it opened.
It's the third Donaldson trail we've followed at this site, first visiting when my daughter was a toddler - now six, she still loved watching Zog on Christmas Day and we took our own dragon to test it out.
With activities as well as the trail kit, hidden extras to find and lots of inspiration and information, we spent over an hour (on a chilly grey January day!) exploring - perfect for a family day out and getting kids outdoors.
