A successful model of the Slovenian shipyard, built in 500 copies, pleasant to operate and with good volumes.
Released in 1985, the Elan 33 model was a great success due to its sporty qualities and low cost. The structure is made of fiberglass with a balsa sandwich deck, but a pre-assembled version was also made for completion. The project was designed by Slovenian Japec Jakopin, who designed a hull with classic lines, sensitive to sail adjustments and maneuverable in medium light winds. Particularly successful is the wheelhouse, not too pronounced, but allowing for good internal volumes. The deck plan is completed by a cockpit equipped with a large locker for equipment, and the interior offers two cabins, a galley and a chart table on either side of the companionway, a central area with a seating table.
500 examples were built.
