April 2021 - Update - Track Call Beacon Working
Hi everybody,
It has been way too long since I've posted some slot car content.
As some of you know, I slipped on some ice about a month ago and really messed my back and hip up. I'm alright now and ready to get back to work on the track.
I have accomplished a few things over the weekend:
Got rid of the projector and screen and replaced that with a 75" TV:

This looks way better than the old projector and clears space in the ceiling for the lift system to raise the entire layout up to provide access to the pool table and the underside of the slot car track table for wiring and other cool stuff I have planned.
Updated the Arduino code and added a relay module, 12VDC power supply, and a flashing LED beacon to complete the track call system:

Prepped for the final tutorial (3 of 3) of installing the catch fence in turns 3 and 4.
