"Humiliation is like love" - the story of model Dasha Bulba | Podcast
This story is about how, at 20, we all want to appear much more mature than we actually are. It's that age when simple rudeness can be seen as a sign of authority, and humiliation as a sign of love and attention. This story is about how easily we can be deceived at 20, when we're still young and green and so eager to be perceived as serious adults who know exactly how to manage their lives. If Dasha, having calmly fulfilled her contract back then, had returned home from China, then gone to work with Prada in Italy, and then somewhere else, she would be 29 now.
This is the story of model Dasha Bulba – our podcast "Disappearance of a Beauty Queen" is about her today. Simply put, the days of supermodels and top models are still in the 90s. A very pretty model, Dasha Bulba, comes to China for work, works there for about six months, and then mysteriously disappears, in a city literally packed with video cameras. She remains missing to this day, but perhaps it's not as mysterious as the internet is making it out to be?
