Sight reading is an incredible skill for a musician. On the one hand, rhythms are put into practice and internalize the notes on the fingerboard. On the other hand, they are exercises that improve concentration and reflexes. Read sheet music has to be a skill that all musicians should work on, whatever their style of music.
