Ras Adiba Radzi is an NTV 7 newscaster, represents Malaysia in the shooting, and is paralysed from the waist down.
She's also now a diver.
"When I told my disabled friends of my experience, they just gawked," she says.
"When you're underwater, the sea does not discriminate."
Being familiar with overcoming serious odds, she always tells people that "the sky is the limit".
"But then when I went underwater I was like: 'Hey, the sea is the limit.'"
The Marine Discovery Dive 2016 is open to volunteers (those who dive and those who don't) and persons with disabilities from around the world. Training is provided.
