Intracellular Organelles- Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum (RER)
We can think of our rough endoplasmic reticulum as the primary protein folding and processing centre within the cell. It is also quite special in that it is continuous with the outer lipid layer of the phospholipid bilayer of the nucleus. In this video we will go into detail about the functions of the RER and its components.
