Path of the Damned is an undead campaign in Warcraft III: Reforged (Reign of Chaos).
Plot: Arthas, now a death knight, is tasked by the dreadlord Tichondrius with reviving the Cult of the Damned and resurrecting Kel'Thuzad. To do this, Arthas travels to the city of Silvermoon, located in Quel'Thalas, as only the power of the Sunwell located there can resurrect the necromancer Kel'Thuzad.
During his assault on elven lands, Arthas encounters an elven army led by Sylvanas Windrunner, but destroys them, turning Sylvanas into a banshee—a slave.
After his resurrection, Kel'Thuzad tells Arthas of the Burning Legion and his plan to take over the world. The Death Knight learns that he was chosen by the Lich King long before the cult's creation, and that dreadlords like Mal'Ganis and Tichondrius are tasked with overseeing the offensive.
The next part of the plan is to summon Archimonde. To do this, Arthas and Kel'Thuzad travel to Dalaran to retrieve the Book of Medivh. The campaign ends with Archimonde's summoning and the destruction of Dalaran.
Some chapters of the campaign: "Resurgence of the Cult of the Damned," "Ashes to Ashes," "The Eternal Kingdom," "The Key of Three Moons," "The Fall of Silvermoon," "Blackrock Mountain, Part II," "The Siege of Dalaran," and "Burning Sky."
Note: Players do not control the dreadlords during this campaign, and it is also the only campaign in which the player does not have access to all the heroes of the race.
