My Vincent, My Baby
On Feb. 14, 2011 Vincent Valentine Goldsmith passed away peacefully. He was a friend, a companion, a pet, a fatty, a member of the family, my Akatsuki dog, he will be missed deeply. I stayed by his side until the end, and petted him so he would always remember he wasn't alone, and so that he would leave this world with happy memories, not sad ones.
He was about ten years old. He had epilepsy, arthritis, he was overweight, and had growths on his paws and mouth. He was having trouble getting up, his legs shook from the effort of trying to stand, and he often fell when he tried to squat. He was whimpering a lot from being in pain, and was starting to develop more problems. He was losing weight really fast (about 7lbs in less than a month) and was having issues with bladder control. After taking him to the vet I decided I couldn't let him live in that kind of pain any more.
I miss him, and I love him, now and forever, but I am grateful that he is no longer suffering. He is with grandpa and David now. Stupid David gets to see everyone first -_- I'm happy that everyone got to meet him, and liked him.
