Papercrafting an Ancient Samurai Style Naginata!

A naginata is a traditional Japanese blade weapon that consists of a wooden shaft with a curved single-edged blade on the end. Here are some more details on what a naginata is and how it was used:
A naginata typically has a blade length of around 30–60 cm (1-2 feet). The wooden shaft is often 150–180 cm (4.9-5.9 feet) long, with the blade affixed to the end. This allows the naginata to have a reach similar to a sword, but the weight at the end gives it more striking power.
The naginata was used extensively by samurai and foot soldiers in feudal Japan. Its versatility made it effective both on open battlefields as well as closed quarters inside castles or fortifications.
In battle, the naginata was an ideal weapon for striking enemy swords and spears away before they could reach the wielder. The long striking range, combined with the weight at the end, allowed for fluid movements not possible with swords or shorter polearms.
