Violinist Kristopher Tong and pianist Miki Sawada perform the Thème et variations by French composer Olivier Messiaen. Messiaen composed the piece in 1932 as a wedding present for his Claire Delbos, and the met-and-married-at-Heifetz duo of Tong and Sawada offer as their first public performance together as a professional couple. From a Heifetz Institute "Celebrity Series" concert at the 2021 Heifetz Institute Festival of Concerts.
