Henry Miller Foreshadowed Our Current PLIGHT in AMERICA
While I can’t agree with everything Henry Miller says in The Air Conditioned Nightmare published in 1945, there are significant moments in the work that seem quite prescient and accurate, especially nowadays in America. Miller may not be as profound to me as he was when I was a teenager devouring Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn, but there remains the vestiges of wisdom in his works.
