The Centre has given full authority to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi to constitute any authority, board and commission like Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) and Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC). A notification issued by the Union Home Ministry said that the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi can also appoint members to such authority, board, commission or statutory bodies.
केंद्र ने दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल को दिल्ली महिला आयोग (डीसीडब्ल्यू) और दिल्ली विद्युत विनियामक आयोग (डीईआरसी) जैसे किसी भी प्राधिकरण, बोर्ड एवं आयोग का गठन करने का पूरा अधिकार दे दिया है. केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी एक अधिसूचना में कहा गया कि दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल ऐसे प्राधिकरण, बोर्ड, आयोग या वैधानिक निकायों में सदस्यों की नियुक्ति भी कर सकते हैं.
