Taking a closer look at Panzerfaust
I remember reading online (so it must be true!) something about Panzerfausts, or Tank Fists, that as war progressed and Germans had difficulties getting materials for their Panzerfausts, they sometimes put in the actual warhead a mixture of explosives and whatever they could find -- including screws, bolts and concrete. That kind of 2nd grade tool was then given to, for example, Volkssturm units so they could use it as anti-personnel weapon.
