Welcome to this short tutorial on how to get over obstacles on hills! This hill was actually a downhill section in the Grimpossible Qualifier race. We decided to go up it for fun and I thought it would be a great place to film a short tutorial about hills with rocky obstacles on them. The main points I cover in this video are this:
Momentum is very important.
It is a lot more difficult to clean an obstacle when you have no control or momentum coming into it.
The best way to keep your momentum and stay in control is to stay standing up with your feet on your pegs. If you come off the pegs, try your best to get one foot back on at least and put your weight on that peg.
Before gassing it to get over an obstacle, you want to compress your suspension evenly by pushing down on the foot pegs for ultimate traction.
With rocky obstacles, you want to avoid wheel spin. In order to do that, you need to be light on the throttle when your rear tire is on the rock, you need to feather your clutch as you roll over it, and you need to have your weight back over the rear tire.

I hope these tips and tricks help!
