Heliography No4 - Exposed from March 15th to April 15th, 2024.
In 2026, we will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first photograph. To mark this special occasion, I have initiated a series of heliographs to honor Niépce's experiment from 1826. Heliography was developed by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce between 1822 and 1826/27. Each work is unique, and due to the imperfection of the technique, chance creates its own interpretation of reality. The first surviving photograph, known as "View from the Window at Le Gras," was likely exposed for several days. This historic photograph marks the beginning of photographic technology and is considered a milestone in the history of photography. You can view and purchase my photographs in this technique on this site (https://heliographie.art/en/the-first...).
