Template literals are string literals allowing embedded expressions. You can use multi-line strings and string interpolation features with them.

They were called "template strings" in prior editions of the ES2015 specification.
Template literals are enclosed by the backtick (` `) (grave accent) character instead of double or single quotes.

Template literals can contain placeholders. These are indicated by the dollar sign and curly braces (${expression}). The expressions in the placeholders and the text between the backticks (` `) get passed to a function.

Tagged template literals were enabled by a new technology introduced in ES6, called “template literals”. This is simply a syntax that makes string interpolation possible in JavaScript. Before template literals was born, JavaScript developers would need to do ugly string concatenation.

Tagged template literals offers you the opportunity to parse template literals in whatever way you want. It works by combining functions with template literals. There are two parts of a tagged template literal, the first one being the tag function and the second, the template literal.
