Come As You Are - ||Nirvana Cover||
Here's a little diddy from one of my all-time favorite bands Nirvana.
Even though I was born around their peak in the 90's, I found them in freshman year of high school, just in time for my teenage angst to cling to the dirty ethereal growls emanating from this band and their lead singer. I remember buying the greatest hits CD at Wally World after hearing "Scoff" somewhere while hanging out with friends and had it on repeat for weeks.
They really made me feel like I could express my primal and messy emotions in a way that tears at your ears but still can reach the heart, and once I first picked up a guitar a year or so later I couldn't wait to write and play their songs. Their simplicity and rawness was infectious. The first song I could play on guitar was "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and learning one of my favorite songs from what was still a fresh new band to me probably gave me the confidence to keep teaching myself guitar...
