Welcome back! It's been a while, but today I'm diving into a spontaneous soap-making session using leftover oils before they expire. This batch features calendula-infused castor oil, chamomile tea, and a neroli-bergamot essential oil blend, making for a soothing and fragrant bar. I'll also be using turmeric for a warm yellow color- that turns brown unfortunatly🤷🏼♀️ .
Tthis is a tallow-based soap with coconut oil, Canola oil, and castor oil, plus citric acid to help with hard water. To keep things simple, I'm using the heat transfer method, relying on residual lye heat to melt my oils.
Join me as I mix, swirl, and chat—let’s see how this unplanned recipe turns out! Stay tuned for the cutting reveal, and if you're in South Africa, keep an eye on my website in six weeks for available bars.
Enjoy the process & have a blessed day! 🌿✨
