Sonic Heroes: All Special Stages - Team Rose
Update: From personal experience, this method does not appear to work on the PC version. :(
This is a video from me, DarkspinesSonic A.K.A Da1AndOnlySonic, showing the acquisition of each emerald in each special stage of Sonic Heroes. I made this video mainly to show that it is quite easy to get all of the emeralds in Sonic Heroes if you know what to do. Firstly, to make it to a special stage, you must collect a special stage key in the second act of any zone (the zone determines which emerald you will be going after), and finish the stage with it. You lose the key if you take damage without a shield, or if you die. Therefore, I recommend using Team Rose for obvious reasons. Their levels are short, contain the least amount of danger, and their team blast gives you an invincibility, shield, level up for all team members, and speed shoes. Upon entering the special stage, the mistake most people make is they keep the speed character instead of using the power character. Using the power character when boosting is the most effective thing to do in both bonus and special stages for a few reasons. Since the boost radius is horizontal, it is much easier to collect more orbs than with the speed character. In addition to this, the power character has more control than the speed character, and boosting with the power character gives you both speed and control instead of going all over the place as the speed character.
