Meet Dr. Michael Guarisco
Dr. Michael Guarisco earned a Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He then completed internship and residency in internal medicine, and a fellowship in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Guarisco worked as an internist, then Section Head, and finally Chairman for the Division of Primary Care for the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in Baton Rouge. Since 2004, Dr. Guarisco has worked as a practicing physician at Primary Care Plus and has served as Medical Director since 2006. Dr. Guarisco is board certified in internal medicine and serves as a Diplomat for the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is affiliated with Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge.
