New studies continue to bring unbelievable truths to light. But there's a catch—the dioceses are refusing to grant permission for publication. Cardinal Marx (Munich/Freising) is hiding behind data protection laws, and others (who have something to hide) are doing the same. Searches in Munich yielded no results.
(Note: Of course—they had 13 years to dispose of incriminating material. After all, no bad light can be cast on Cardinal Ratzinger—Pope Benedict XVI.)
Questions keep arising: Why did the abuse victims come forward so late? They were not heard—no one believed them. The power structure of the Catholic Church obstructed the investigation and, with the support of state power (laws, courts), forced the victims into silence.
