How To Shoot Star Trails
Professorial photographer John Lehmann takes you step by sept as he sets-up for a star trails shoot on Vee Lake near Yellowknife in Canada's Northwest Territories.
This simple how to video will give the viewer the basic starting points to shoot their own star trail photos.
1. Find an open easy to access area in daylight away from city lights.
2. You will need a wide lens with a fast aperture. f/2.8 recommend.
3. Prosumer or profesional grade camera.
4. Sturdy tripod to keep your camera steady.

6. Save yourself so grief and pre focus in the daylight then tape the focus ring down with gaffer tape.
Oh and before you ask I tossed an LED flashlight into the igloo to give it the white glow.
