The photos were taken by Steven Kane lying on his stomach in a neighbor's yard on March 19, 2021 using an Olympus camera with a macro lens. The day was cool and most of the flowers had their petals rather closed or at least not fully open. This and the diffused light made for an interesting artistic effect. Also note that the last few photos are abstracts made with intentional camera movement.
