Keige Kuoli the Samoan
Keigi Kuoli aka Annie shares a bit of her journey, beginning with her father moving to American Samoa to pursue the American Dream. Her college experience in Colorado, being away from home for 5 years and how she was impacted returning to her cultural home. Now a mother of 3 retired from the US Air Force she plans to return to the Samoan island of her ancestors with her masters degree in civil engineering to raise the children in the culture.
Keigi Kuoli fondly shares how the Disney movie "Moana" was a positive depiction of her culture. Growing up and dancing in competitions and now how it helps her deal with fitness, mental health and keeping her grounded. Keigi shares her christian faith and explains her native spiritual traditions.
