This quick tip for FreeCAD Draft wrokbench explains how Global and Relative coordinate settings work. These settings are available for many Draft and BIM tools, the one used in the video is Draft_Line tool.
The relative coordinate option enables entering coordinates of a point realitve to the last point.
The global coordinate option enables entering coordinates relative to the global coordinate system. If this option is turned off, the current working plane coordinates are used.
All of these settings apply to both cartesian coordinates and polar coordinates.
The same concept applies to coordinates in FreeCAD BIM workbench.
