Today is my first ride/video test with the new GoPro Hero 13 Black. For many years I have been using the Sony FDR X3000 because I could plug an external mic into it and the audio wasn't blown out. GoPro hasn't allowed me to adjust the input levels, so when using an external mic, the input volume was too high and it sounded horrible.
At this point, I'm ready to ignore the audio issues. I want the smaller form factor of the GoPro compared to that older Sony camera. I could try getting another Media Mod adapter for the GoPro and test audio in the future. Time will tell if I even worry about it.
