Command Block Tutorial
In this video I will show an updated version of how to get a very fast reloading crossbow, and that you need to hold down click to shoot a lot of arrows, with ease.

Commands:
Option 1 (Rapid Fire Mode for any crossbow):
Repeater Command Block: /execute as @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{id:"minecraft:crossbow",count:1}}] run item replace entity @p weapon.mainhand with crossbow[custom_data={Charged:1b},charged_projectiles=[{id:"minecraft:arrow",count:1}]] 1
Option 2a (Rapid Fire Mode for a specific crossbow, with no limit):
To get the Rapid Fire Crossbow V2: /give @p minecraft:crossbow[custom_name='{"color":"aqua","italic":false,"text":"Rapid Fire Crossbow V2"}',custom_data={Charged:1b},minecraft:unbreakable={}] 1
To activate the Rapid Fire Crossbow V2: /execute as @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{id:"minecraft:crossbow",count:1,components:{"minecraft:custom_data":{Charged:1b}}}}] run item replace entity @p weapon.mainhand with crossbow[custom_name='{"color":"aqua","italic":false,"text":"Rapid Fire Crossbow V2"}',custom_data={Charged:1b},charged_projectiles=[{id:"minecraft:arrow",count:1}],minecraft:unbreakable={}] 1
Option 2b (Rapid Fire Mode for a specific crossbow, with a limit):
Note: These commands work with the Rapid Fire Crossbow V2 as well.
Scoreboard Commands (To add and remove):
/scoreboard objectives add Rapid_Fire_Shot_Limit minecraft.used:minecraft.crossbow
/scoreboard objectives remove Rapid_Fire_Shot_Limit
1. Repeater Command Block: /execute as @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{id:"minecraft:crossbow",count:1,components:{"minecraft:custom_data":{Charged:1b}}}}] run execute if entity @p[nbt={Inventory:[{id:"minecraft:arrow"}]}] run scoreboard players set @e[scores={Rapid_Fire_Shot_Limit=1..}] Rapid_Fire_Shot_Limit 0
2. Chain Command Block: /execute as @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{id:"minecraft:crossbow",count:1,components:{"minecraft:custom_data":{Charged:1b}}}}] run item replace entity @p weapon.mainhand with crossbow[custom_name='{"color":"aqua","italic":false,"text":"Rapid Fire Crossbow V2"}',custom_data={Charged:1b},charged_projectiles=[{id:"minecraft:arrow",count:1}],minecraft:unbreakable={}] 1
3. Chain Command Block: /execute as @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{id:"minecraft:crossbow",count:1,components:{"minecraft:custom_data":{Charged:1b}}}}] run clear @s minecraft:arrow 1
