Pitcher Plants in a resin whiskey barrel
Today we build a portable, all season, carnivorous bog garden. Plants used were Sarracenia orphylla, Drosera filiformis, live sphagnum, and random native mosses. The substrate is half black beauty blasting sand, half peat moss. I used spare PVC to build a watering system under the substrate and used a $11 resin whiskey barrel from the big box store for the container. This is easy, affordable, and fun!
