V-Ray Render Settings — Razor Crest VFX Lecture 17
How to set up V-Ray Render Settings for Maya. We'll go over everything important for rendering including automating the file name prefix with tokens, batch rendering with a professional/educational license, sequence rendering with the V-Ray PLE, denoise settings, V-Ray CPU and GPU settings, and sampling options. We're also going to composite test frames to make sure our render layers and AOVs are working correctly.
These lectures were originally built for a college VFX class that I teach, taking students from beginner to intermediate level. Over the course of this 9-hour course, brush up on PBR surfacing with UDIMs, learn about lighting, AOVs, render layers, batch and sequence rendering, EXR compositing, and ACEScg with Maya, V-Ray, and After Effects.
