How to make a Buttercream Checkered cake. I used a bengal striped cake comb by Ester Combs. I divided the cake into sections and scraped out the buttercream with the cake comb all over the cake. I filled it in with purple buttercream. I scraped the excess off with a bench scraper. I decorated the bottom and added a thick black drip. I piped three swirls and added purple covered cherries on top!
